The Wintry Wander
The Wintry Wander
presented by
Bolton Valley Resort
There is no Wintry Wander planned for 2022; we’ll see what happens next year as our ability to outside outdoor winter events gets a bit easier.
Enjoy a fun adventure in a snowy wonderland! Designed for families and teams with children, the Wintry Wander will let your group snowshoe on and around the beautiful trails at the Bolton Valley Resort.
You’ll start the event by receiving a special trail map marked with various points. Some will be on trails and easy to find, while others may be a bit off trail and more challenging. It’s completely up to you how many of what type you try to find. The goal is to have a great time outside in the snow!
You can finish as early as you like or take as long as you like, as long as you’re back by 1:00 p.m., when the cocoa starts cooling down. You won’t want to miss that!
Date
Saturday, March 5th, beginning at 10:00 in the morning. See the schedule for full details.
Cost
The cost of participation will be $5 per person. Anyone young enough that they’ll be in a backpack or pulled on a sled is free! Teams may be as big as you like, and we’ll be flexible if you need to change team membership at the last minute. Sign up now!
Prize categories are likely to include:
- Best Team Name
- Snowiest Team
- Most Cheerful Hearts
- Most On-trail Points
- Most Off-trail Points
Directions
Our host venue will be the Bolton Valley Resort. Registration will be on-site at the Nordic Center. Here are directions to the resort.
Register
Registration is CLOSED! We’re not doing the wintry wander this year, because there’s no snow. It’s just not wintry enough.
You’re welcome to try it anyway: Registration Form
If it’s unusable, please come back when you’ve got a larger screen available! If you want a reminder, please contact us and we’ll be in touch shortly.
Schedule
The schedule for the Wintry Wander is laid back and focused on giving people enough time to have a fun day in the woods. If possible, err on the early side. You’ll have a better experience if you use the full time to look at the map as a team.
Take as long or as little time as you like on the course, but please return to the Nordic Center by 1:00 p.m. to have a warm drink and be there for the event wrap-up.
